I try and get back to Bangkok to train with Kru Lek every three months, but duty called and was a welcome surprise to find out that I would be going up to Bangkok on March 8th for the Chaiya Wai Kru day, where we pay respects to the past Masters of our style. It wasn't necessary for me to go, but I felt that it was important enough to skip work and grab a flight up, to pay respects and show my thanks for the art that I now have the honor of teaching.

Up and running at last!

It's taken me much longer than planned (I've been much busier than usual) but I'm happy with the format, so here it is the new myMuayChaiya.com.

I've managed to get a few new articles written to kick things off, these are hopefully the beginning of a long series which will help all interested get enough instruction to start practicing Muay Chaiya without having to fly to Thailand!

The new articles cover some essential basics:

I hope you find them useful, and inspire you to start practicing, as there will be more to come!

 Best regards,

Kru Nathan Brown

If anyone was wondering where I got the idea for the name of this blog from, then you should check out mymuaythai.com. It's a great blog which keeps up to date with the main events of the Muay Thai world, and has a good following of great fighters.

It's creator Nopstar recently asked me to write a post for the site on Muay Chaiya, and I was happy to oblige. So surf on over to mymuaythai.com and check it out!
