New YouTube Videos: Basic Kicks Part 1 & Part 2

Attention: open in a new window.  E-mail

Following the two part videos from last week (Muay Thai Chaiya's Yang Sam Khum), I've just finished uploading another two part tutorial on how to kick in Muay Thai Chaiya.

Covering three leg techniques in detail:

  1. Yat Khao (Knee)
  2. Chat (Front kick)
  3. Wiang Kaeng (Swinging Shin)

you can learn how to use these kicks with the Yang Sam Khum and the defense of Muay Thai Chaiya.

I LOVE the Chaiya way of doing the Thai round kick and knee ! The "Tha
Kru" / ท่าครู is certainly one of the most highly efficient
boxing guards I've ever seen ! It certainly contains a wide variety of
applications ! It's deceptively simple as is the case with all techniques in
Muay Thai ! Only ignorant and close-minded fools will disregard the purpose or
inner meaning behind the rotating of the fists ! Such individuals will view it
as useless movement ! Thanks to "Kru Lek" / ครูเล็ก and
the art of Chaiya Boxing, I now know what what to do with my hands ! It's much
much better than the way modern day sport Muay Thai teaches its practitioners
how to hold their hands !
