Many of you may have noticed a few weeks back that myMuayChaiya.com, learnmuaychaiya.com AND learnmuaythaichaiya.com (and a few others) got hacked in a systematic malware attack on my server. Even though it wasn't a targeted attack, it was bad enough for Google list my sites as malware and restrict access. With lots of help from the support of my hosts (InteractiveOnline) all of the sites are backup and running well.

Sparring is an integral part of Muay Chaiya training, as it is a great opportunity to put many of the techniques and fundamentals to use, and find your specific style of fighting.
I'm proud of the fact that the sparring is always done on a friendly basis at Baan Chang Thai, we want people to feel safe and have fun improving their technique and skills. We sometimes do get a little hurt, but this is part of training, and after all Muay Chaiya is a solid style!

We're slowly but surely getting more students interested in fighting in the ring, and the latest Eddy Hellrigel just won his first fight here in Thailand, with a knockout in the second round. Eddy came to us over a month ago as he wanted to fight in the ring. He had previously been training with Kru Pedro in Chiang Mai.

I'm sure you've all been hearing news of the extensive flooding across northern Thailand, which has also spread south and is now causing problems for many people in Bangkok.
As per usual, the western media propaganda machine has caused many people to cancel planned trips to Thailand, which is another blow to the Thai tourist industry. As if the economic fallout from the badly managed flood crisis isn't going to be bad enough already...

Again I find myself apologising for lack of content in the last few months... Kru Aof had to go home for a month and I've been a very busy helping teach in his place, here at Baan Chang Thai, which has proved to be extremely hard work!
In fact, today was my first full day off teaching in over a month, but I can't complain because we've had some great students training with us recently. More and more guys coming from from Europe. Belgium, France, Russia, Egypt, we've had a real mix of skills and languages which has been great for me widening my own knowledge!
