Sparring is an integral part of Muay Chaiya training, as it is a great opportunity to put many of the techniques and fundamentals to use, and find your specific style of fighting.
I'm proud of the fact that the sparring is always done on a friendly basis at Baan Chang Thai, we want people to feel safe and have fun improving their technique and skills. We sometimes do get a little hurt, but this is part of training, and after all Muay Chaiya is a solid style!

Bangkok Flooding? Training as per usual.

I'm sure you've all been hearing news of the extensive flooding across northern Thailand, which has also spread south and is now causing problems for many people in Bangkok.
As per usual, the western media propaganda machine has caused many people to cancel planned trips to Thailand, which is another blow to the Thai tourist industry. As if the economic fallout from the badly managed flood crisis isn't going to be bad enough already...
New website after hack attack

Many of you may have noticed a few weeks back that myMuayChaiya.com, learnmuaychaiya.com AND learnmuaythaichaiya.com (and a few others) got hacked in a systematic malware attack on my server. Even though it wasn't a targeted attack, it was bad enough for Google list my sites as malware and restrict access. With lots of help from the support of my hosts (InteractiveOnline) all of the sites are backup and running well.
UK Muay Chaiya Workshop - 11th September 2011

If you're in the South West of England, come along on Sunday 11th September for a Muay Thai Chaiya workshop I'm holding at Falmouth Thai Boxing.
"Falmouth Thai Boxing was one of the first' in Cornwall, England . The club teaches mainly Muay Thai Boxing however Kick Boxing, Self Protection, Self Defence and MMA (mixed martial arts) are also taught.
Ian Davies is the clubs senior instructor and has over 25 years experience .
Whatever your age (14 +), Male or Female experienced or novice, you will be given a warm friendly welcome at Falmouth Thai Boxing Club.
